A quieter end to the year

Most of the things worth doing in 2025 didn’t announce themselves. They turned up as small choices in long weeks: a project that needed more time than I thought, a role change that took several conversations to land, a couple of hires that I’m still proud of. Not the kind of thing you put on a slide. The kind of thing you remember in the kitchen, six months later, when something else lines up because of it.
For the next few days I’m going to put the phone down, eat too much, walk the dog through a frosted park, and talk to people who aren’t paid to talk to me. Conversations with no agenda are an underrated thing.
Wishing you a peaceful Christmas and a gentler end to the year.
